Just things.......

A couple of you have commented on the history of this post and it sounds like this song by Alan Jackson called "HOME", There is truth and likeness to this!!! thanks. Here it is on YOU TUBE . I shall post another picture here and you can see the violin that Grandpa used to play. This is my family and grandma at the end. I am the first of four. Look at the lovely old wall paper too. We all or the girls at least!!!! wore rollers in our hair in those days!!!!. Thanks for posting.

Moncton, New Brunswick, is where five people grew up in a small house that was always filled with laughter and fun. They had a small farm and I think Grandpa used to sell coal. ??? The parents lived and died in this house and in their old years donated the land to build a church. This is their family below mom being the second from the last.
This is a picture of my mother-Orlo, and me, her mom -Jenny, next to her and then of course her mother -Nellie which makes up the four generations, and the dogs name i can't remember! Two days after my birthday is Mom's so in birthdays we were quite close. Here is a strawberry plant one of my sisters gave me-it had pink blossoms!!!!

A picture of an inch worm my other sister sent, I love to collect little minatures of worms also!!!! They are so cute.
and roses given by my children for birthday posies....two boys and two girls and three grandchildren....

So all in all it turned out to be a very good 58th birthday- my only brother phoned, the dental clinic i work for took me out for lunch and even the boss paid for it, my long 'lost' cousin -actually 2 of them wished me birthday greetings, plus a surprise gift from a couple of other friends.........the end for another year I guess!!

Wow - there's so much history there. Very cool. Not sure if you're into country music or familiar with Alan Jackson, but he has a song that your pictures remind me of very much. Just wish I could remember the name of it... Something about building the house with a tool shed that grandpa rolled out on two logs. He taught us about good living, taught us right from wrong. Maybe you've heard it?
