Christmas in July

Show and Tell Friday ................................

Pink Lillies and Playboy Roses in bloom and also a poor picture of the lovely Peace Rose.

This is something i made and has been sitting around the house for a long time, you know! those things that should be thrown away but just can't yet. I like the homes on it and the pathway and it is peachy colored!

Christmas in July! All my three oldest kids are born on December 25, (one set twins), and every year we would have christmas in July as it was hard to get everyone together for the Dec one. This time there was a Christmas tree in one of the malls decorated but it also had sunflowers on it. Usually we exchange gifts, have a decorated tree and I make birthday cakes for each one. Perfect for a summer birthday ......

This is the back porch, my boys built the front and this one too....

Girls night out

Getting tired of seeing snow pictures yet?????????????? well today it snowed again and some people have had frost. Smithers was 3 degrees and cold. Or should the title of this post read Global warming!!!!!!
Work week is over and I decided to take Clarisa and Taegan out for Mexican food at an old converted railway station restaurant. They had the best food and Taegan was the best girl. She just ate and talked and colored and sat in her chair like a good girl. Except for a tiny little incident where she put a mouthful of salad greens in her mouth and bit her thumb. She cried very loudly for a moment and then smiles again. How little ones can change from one minute to the next.....

Rainbows and Snow

A picture of the logging truck that goes by my property almost everyday. The log at the bottom shows it is extended quite a bit and it was also bowed at the end. Just a curious sight! Below is a field of daises and clover. Looks peaceful doesn't it?

For two days in a row now it has thundered, rained and rained and this morning again for the second time it has snowed on top of those mountains this time a coming down to meet the treeline, a little lower than before and melts by evening. A beautiful double rainbow in vivid colors embraced the valley at end of day . You can see a birds eye view of my little garden!
This is the castle in Morricetown...........they just built a veranda on top ............or lookout.....or.....you can see it better by clicking on the picture...

Bloom # 2.......

Thunder Storm

We had an amazing thunder storm on sabbath that shook the ground. Rain poured just like coming out of a faucet. Very exciting!

Have you had your Smoothie yet!!!!
This morning I made a green smoothie for breakfast with 2 bananas, lots of romaine, parsley, dill, 1/2 pineapple, handfull of mango to give the smooth texture. Mango always gives it a nice flavor. You can also put ground hemp , sesame and flax in it too

Show and Tell

Hi people! Here are a couple things I have to share today. I got this from a May 08 ALIVE magazine. It has lots of nice things in it along with an article on composting. These worms really have it rich!! I should be one!!! Oh well! I am a human and so here is a fresh outlook on food.......
Spinach and Strawberry Salad
I just put on lime juice and it is good that way but you can also make this up-- with balsamic vinegar, olive oil, blackcurrant concentrate, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce and cracked pepper
Now this little piggy went to market and had Spinach Salad, and then she sat down on this overstuffed chair and had her picture taken. I like pigs--at least the stuffed ones!!!
and then my peony finally bloomed, I only have one plant and three blossoms. Oh! there is another one growing wild in the bush, I don't know how it got there but it comes up and loves the bush!!.

John's Testimony

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that who so

ever should believe in Him should have everlasting life...John 3:16

HOPE when all things fail, hope when families want to be together, hope when we want to walk again and hope when things are going slow, hope in Jesus gives us assurance to go on with our life and live with the expectiation we will see Jesus taking us to live with him, we will live with him in peace and harmony!

John is my sister's brother in law who has been confined to a wheel chair now for most of his life with the ravages of MS. This is his favorite verse that he quotes all the time and speaks with tears when he says it. Even my eyes well up with tears because of the courage and confidence he has. His mother is 90 on July 5 and still cooks and lools after him as does his family of brothers.

Have courage people, believe in Him and He will be your stay!!!
