The Great I AM

Mary did you know that your baby boy would some day walk on water?
Mary did you know that your baby boy would save our sons and daughters?
Did you know that your baby boy has come to make you new?
This child that you've delivered, will soon deliver you.

Mary did you know that your baby boy would give sight to a blind man?
Mary did you know that your baby boy would calm a storm with his hand?
Did you know that your baby boy has walked where angels trod?
And when your kiss your little baby, you have kissed the face of God.

Oh Mary did you know---The blind will see, the deaf will hear, the dead will live again.
The lame will leap, the dumb will speak, the praises of the lamb---.

Mary did you know that your baby boy is Lord of all creation?
Mary did you know that your baby boy would one day rule the nations?
Did you know that your baby boy is heaven's perfect Lamb?
This sleeping child you're holding is the great--I--- AM---.

LUKE 2: 8-11
And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field,
keeping watch over their flock by night.
And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them
,and the glory of the Lord shone round about them:
and they were sore afraid.
And the angel said unto them,
Fear not:
for, behold,
I bring you good tidings of great joy,
which shall be to all people.
For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour,
which is Christ the Lord.

Joy to the world, the Lord is come!Let earth receive her King;Let every heart prepare Him room,And Heaven and nature sing,And Heaven and nature sing,And Heaven, and Heaven, and nature sing.Joy to the world, the Savior reigns!Let men their songs employ; While fields and floods, rocks, hills and plainsRepeat the sounding joy,Repeat the sounding joy,Repeat, repeat, the sounding joy.No more let sins and sorrows grow,Nor thorns infest the ground; He comes to make His blessings flowFar as the curse is found,Far as the curse is found,Far as, far as, the curse is found. He rules the world with truth and grace,And makes the nations proveThe glories of His righteousness,And wonders of His love,And wonders of His love,And wonders, wonders, of His love.

O Holy Night!
The stars are brightly shining,
It is the night of the dear Saviour's birth.
Long lay the world in sin and error pining.
Till He appeared and the Spirit felt its worth.
A thrill of hope the weary world rejoices,
For yonder breaks a new and glorious morn.
Fall on your knees! Oh, hear the angel voices!
O night divine, the night when Christ was born;
O night, O Holy Night , O night divine! O night, O Holy Night , O night divine!
Led by the light of faith serenely beaming,
With glowing hearts by His cradle we stand.
O'er the world a star is sweetly gleaming,
Now come the wisemen from out of the Orient land.
The King of kings lay thus lowly manger;
In all our trials born to be our friends.
He knows our need, our weakness is no stranger,
Behold your King! Before him lowly bend!
Behold your King! Before him lowly bend!
Truly He taught us to love one another,
His law is love and His gospel is peace.
Chains he shall break, for the slave is our brother.
And in his name all oppression shall cease.
Sweet hymns of joy in grateful chorus raise we,
With all our hearts we praise His holy name.
Christ is the Lord! Then ever, ever praise we,
His power and glory ever more proclaim!
His power and glory ever more proclaim!

This Story

This Story belongs to a lonely man whose life and belongings holds secrets but some things are revealed in the things he left behind. His wife died and he was lonely, his son deserted him leaving him alone in a nursing home to look out the window and wonder where life had taken him. he wasn't in his own home anymore. this delicate pink bowl handpainted with white flowers was kept on a shelf . His house was a quaint old fashioned hardwood floor one with rounded kitchen cupboards surrounding a single sink. Double doors led to a small living space with windows all around that you could look out to see fruit trees and rose bushes and a gingerbread looking garage. It was so cute. I felt sorry for this man for some reason because he died alone after i moved into his house.

You Have Run Into MyArms

O my child, you have thought in your heart that you would run from Me. But lo, I am everywhere before you, and you have only run into My arms. For I care for you---yes, I think upon you constantly, and I seek to do you good.

You fear My rod of correction, but it is written, is is the love of God that causes men to repent. Take My love, and in the taking, your heart shall be so warmed and made tender, and at the same time encouraged and made strong, that you will not need the rod, nor anticipate My displeasure.

For if it be so that human love covers a multitude of sins how much more is it true of the divine love of God the Father! Knowing deep love for you, your own heart shall no longer condemn you. My mercies are everlasting, and My kindness abundant.

My grace extendeth unto the least of My children, and My tenderness shall make you strong. I go before you daily to prepare you way, and you shall be accompanied by My goodness and My mercy.

Pilot me............

For some reason this blog is not letting me move the pictures around. They must shut down at night or something!!!! Anyway i had to drive into town and pick up my daughter and as you can tell it was pitch dark as they say....
I was wishing i had a camera that took good pictures at night because the sides of the road were so beautiful with the snow laden trees looking like plush pile , the sides of the road banked with snow, it was warm enough yet cold enough for the road to be tacky and not slippery. Stars were shining brightly and you could see the big dipper. Great night.
Alone on the road but for a trucker and a car or two. Then there was a car in front of me . and a thought crossed my mind.............i was wishing for Jesus.......and i was wondering about something pink for this post...........i had nothing............then these lights, two of them, not exactly pink but of the pink nice to have someone lead the way!!!! and in a moment of panic when you don't know how to speak or call the name of Jesus....he actually is there in fron t of you.....Think about the name of Jesus and he will lead you.
may you have a happy sabbath and a bright Pink Saturday!!!!!!

"Jesus, Savior, Pilot Me"
by Edward Hopper, 1818-1888

1. Jesus, Savior, pilot me
Over life's tempestuous sea;
Unknown waves before me roll,
Hiding rock and treacherous shoal.
Chart and compass come from Thee:
Jesus, Savior, pilot me.

2. As a mother stills her child,
Thou canst hush the ocean wild;
Boisterous waves obey Thy will
When Thou say'st to them, "Be still!"
Wondrous Sovereign of the sea,
Jesus, Savior, pilot me.

3. When at last I near the shore,
And the fearful breakers roar
'Twixt me and the peaceful rest,
Then, while leaning on Thy breast,
May I hear Thee say to me,
"Fear not, I will pilot thee."

Just thoughts for this morning....

13 Then Jesus came from Galilee to John at the Jordan to be baptized by him. 14 And John tried to prevent Him, saying, “I need to be baptized by You, and are You coming to me?” 15 But Jesus answered and said to him, “Permit it to be so now, for thus it is fitting for us to fulfill all righteousness.” Then he allowed Him. 16 When He had been baptized, Jesus came up immediately from the water; and behold, the heavens were opened to Him, and He[a] saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting upon Him. 17 And suddenly a voice came from heaven, saying, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.”

What am i thinking when i copied and pasted this?? Suddenly it dawned on me that the important thing is submission, obedience, willingness, determination and quiet assertion were his ways of showing us how to do thngs. You know i am not one to express love or very great outward motions of love, but i am sure that Christ's actions were of love too for his heavenly Father and earthly parents. He cared for what they were teaching Him. He cared for their persons. He respected his family and had great compassion to others who were to witness for him.

Father in heaven, my prayer for today is for us all to see the love of Christ and keep it in their hearts. It will glow to others!! and then we will learn love as did the baptist when he gave his love to Christ by his act of submission in the dedication service of baptism.

pink my world

Women's Ministry meeting is in about three weeks now and i needed to come up with somethings for the ladies to do as they do not like crafts for some reason, so here is an idea for Christmas that they might like. It is doing something for others and that is operation christmas child. Click on the link here and you will see what others have done.....Link It is a touching story what Michael Smith did.

Here is how to pack a Shoe Box.....Link

Is this not pretty!!!! i found it on the internet on someones site. you probably have seen it when it was shown for another pink saturday. But the colors, the warm tea and candies will certainly warm you up when you look at the weather outside my pink curtains!!!
I covered my windows with plastic yesterday. The wind was just howling and blowing in a storm of 5 inches of snow. Winter comes and goes. And so does the sun. This week I was amazed to see a rainbow and now the snow. My pellet stove is keeping the house warm and soon there will be Christmas lights to put a warm glow to everything. Here is a song for you to listen to...make sure you turn the blog music off at the bottom of the page!!! and click the link under the title.....

I would love to tell you what I think of Jesus
Since I found in Him a friend so strong and true
I would tell you how He changed my life completely
He did something that no other friend could do

No one ever cared for me like Jesus
There's no other friend so kind as He
No one else could take the sin and darkness from me
Oh how much He cared for me

Everyday He comes to me with new assurance
More and more I understand His words of love
But I'll never know just why He came to save me
Till someday I see His blessed face above

No one ever cared for me like Jesus
There's no other friend so kind as He
No one else could take the sin and darkness from me
Oh how much He cared for me

Oh yes, He cares
I know He cares
His heart is touched by my grief
When the days are dreary
The long nights weary
I know my Savior cares

When the days are dreary
The long nights weary
I know that Jesus cares
happy pink sabbath!!

Every so often I find myself discouraged, and little weary. ‘Why,’ I ask, ‘do I bother fighting this feeling every day?’ It is on those dark days, when I believe we are fighting a losing war, that I dig deep and seek inspiration. This search for encouragement is found in many forms, usually by accident. It can be a simple fleeting thought, a song on the CD that plays its constant tunes, a line in a book, or a scene from a movie...Now I remember; it is morning again.
there was a rainbow this week that stretched over the whole valley. it lasted a whole hour, then slowly faded into the morning. wonderful covenant from the Son of the Morning!

Friday, November 7, 2008 is PINK SATURdAY AGAIN

Jaimie and Josie are visiting grandma this weekend, so I drove into Smithers to get them as there were a few things on my shopping list. I also wanted to get a passport picture done as I am planning on going to Bolivia to visit my son there. They - pictures-are terrible now a days--not allowed to smile, had to take my glasses off---they hide the face!!!! well at least i think they do!!!! Anyway while waiting for them to develop i wandered thru the store and guess what--there were these pink roses made out of soap leaves. So i bought two boxes right there to give to the ladies as a part of a gift bag for Christmas. They are so pretty!!!

Josie putting her pet bunny to bed. this bunny will let you do almost anything ..........

and here she is dressing up one of the posters on the bed with her inventions of her mom's dress , a bath towel and a doily. She loved it...............

and here was another thing i found when leaving the drug store....a pink car!!!!!

Pink petals passing
Scents above so high
Painted porcelain perfection
Blossoms caress the sky
Swaying silent shroud
Suitors strolling by Pink petals passing
Lover's gentle sigh
Pastel hues falling
Slow fluttering grace
Pink petals passing
Lining streams in lace
Pink petals passing
Smoothest transit by
Soft essence floating
In most subtle lullaby
Inducing springtime slumber
Upon a satin shore
Sailing with the current
Pink petals pass before

“For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your forefathers, but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect” (1 Peter 1:18, 19, NIV).
"Nothing But The Blood of Jesus" can save a sinful soul like mine! And I am so thankful that He gives us this way to immulate his personality.
Have a good weekend and blessing be upon you this week........happy pink saturday~~~WELCOME to the sabbath day--off to church we go!!!

Friday, October 31, 2008

This week i thought there would be nothing to show for Pink Saturday, but of course the month of October hasn't ended yet and this is the month for pink. Jaimie and I went shopping in the mall and guess what everything and everywhere we looked there was pink --so guess who couldn't resist this!!!!! me .......i bought the last pink pie plate with frills-- that did it ....the frills...!! also there was a pink rubber scrapper too....

and pink slippers that had roses imprinted in the quilting and right! i guess you see my pink plaid pj's hahhaha

Three years ago my youngest daughter had a daughter of her own and she loves flowers and orange. her mother says to put flowers on the birtday cake and her dad says to make it carrot cake . that is what it is. carrot cake. would you like the recipe!!!
it is called Aunty Neva's Carrot Cake it turns out really nice and light, I put it in a cookie sheet pan and i think only baked it for 15 min.
3 eggs
1 1/2 cup sugar
3/4 cup oil
2 tbsp vanilla
beat these really well and add
1 1/2 cups flour
2 tsp soda
1 tsp baking powder
2 tsp pumpkin pie spice
1/4 tsp salt
1 cup each of walnuts, raisins, grated carrots--you can put in 2 cups
fold these ingredients in and bake at 350 just until done.

Keep scrolling ladies the best is yet to come for all you quilters............but here a beautiful sunset is here and down toward the treeline to the left, right on top of the trees, peeking from betwwn two trees, can you see it..... the clouds look like a kitty' ears and head.

see you can see it here too --right on top of the mountain. you can see it better if you click on the picture. hopefully it will work for you.

and again in plain sight. it just made me happy to see it there and the sky was so pretty coming home from work.....
this was the morning sky one other day............

OKAY! The best for last.........couple years before mom died she still was into quilting and able to do it. this one she made for my oldest daughters girl....and it is pink. i was very excited to show this to you today. the design is so for a little girl and the material so delicately flowered and pink. she quilted on the big quilting machine and it is also appliqued with her writing on the back............

When Jehoshaphat faced a difficult battle, he prayed, "we have no might against this great company that cometh against us; neither know we what to do: but our eyes are upon Thee," (II Chronicles 20:12

All the way my Savior leads me
Cheers each winding path I tread,
Gives me grace for every trial,
Feeds me with the living Bread.
Though my weary steps may falter
And my soul athirst may be,
Gushing from the Rock before me,
Lo! A spring of joy I see;
Gushing from the Rock before me,
Lo! A spring of joy I see.

Blessing and joy and victory in all that you do this week. Taking the name of Jesus I ask that the healing you need will be one that gives you this peace....amen
