BEST THINGS FOR LAST.

This week i thought there would be nothing to show for Pink Saturday, but of course the month of October hasn't ended yet and this is the month for pink. Jaimie and I went shopping in the mall and guess what everything and everywhere we looked there was pink --so guess who couldn't resist this!!!!! me .......i bought the last pink pie plate with frills-- that did it ....the frills...!! also there was a pink rubber scrapper too....

and pink slippers that had roses imprinted in the quilting and right! i guess you see my pink plaid pj's hahhaha

Three years ago my youngest daughter had a daughter of her own and she loves flowers and orange. her mother says to put flowers on the birtday cake and her dad says to make it carrot cake . that is what it is. carrot cake. would you like the recipe!!!
it is called Aunty Neva's Carrot Cake it turns out really nice and light, I put it in a cookie sheet pan and i think only baked it for 15 min.
3 eggs
1 1/2 cup sugar
3/4 cup oil
2 tbsp vanilla
beat these really well and add
1 1/2 cups flour
2 tsp soda
1 tsp baking powder
2 tsp pumpkin pie spice
1/4 tsp salt
1 cup each of walnuts, raisins, grated carrots--you can put in 2 cups
fold these ingredients in and bake at 350 just until done.

Keep scrolling ladies the best is yet to come for all you quilters............but here a beautiful sunset is here and down toward the treeline to the left, right on top of the trees, peeking from betwwn two trees, can you see it..... the clouds look like a kitty' ears and head.

see you can see it here too --right on top of the mountain. you can see it better if you click on the picture. hopefully it will work for you.

and again in plain sight. it just made me happy to see it there and the sky was so pretty coming home from work.....
this was the morning sky one other day............

OKAY! The best for last.........couple years before mom died she still was into quilting and able to do it. this one she made for my oldest daughters girl....and it is pink. i was very excited to show this to you today. the design is so for a little girl and the material so delicately flowered and pink. she quilted on the big quilting machine and it is also appliqued with her writing on the back............

When Jehoshaphat faced a difficult battle, he prayed, "we have no might against this great company that cometh against us; neither know we what to do: but our eyes are upon Thee," (II Chronicles 20:12

All the way my Savior leads me
Cheers each winding path I tread,
Gives me grace for every trial,
Feeds me with the living Bread.
Though my weary steps may falter
And my soul athirst may be,
Gushing from the Rock before me,
Lo! A spring of joy I see;
Gushing from the Rock before me,
Lo! A spring of joy I see.

Blessing and joy and victory in all that you do this week. Taking the name of Jesus I ask that the healing you need will be one that gives you this peace....amen

LITTLE THINGS

The keys to the kingdom of my heart are in the little things of life like knowing that i will never walk alone - because Jesus is always there, little pigs - because they are PINK, little flowers -as some of them are pink and go good with purple!, little phone calls - from one of my sons which i finally heard from after 3 months, little moments with my family - my daughters with grandchildren - little flowers and little people; here are my picture stories........

At the end of my rainbow
I seek no golden prize
For the key to my kingdom
Is the face of the Master.

Gain and power and riches
Are thrills I'll never miss
For the key to my kingdom
Is the thrill of His voice
Savior!, I have more
Than fame and fortune
Every time I read your Word
And with the Spirit around my soul
All the world's at my command
If this world should ever fail
And friends should leave me
My world would tumble down
But You're the key to my kingdom
And your love is my crown

Yes, yes, if this world should ever fail
Ever friends should leave me
All of my world would tumble down
For Savior you are the key to my kingdom
And your love is my crown
Yes, You're the key to my kingdom
And your love is my crown
Yes, You're the key to my kingdom
And your love, your love is my crown

a doll mother saved for us every time we went to church, the hair is gone and she intricately made all the underclothes and put lace on everything....so this is a 50yr old doll.....
snapdragons still in bloom

May the Savior be with you in your pink as well as blue days................

funny

i am sitting here on my couch, laughing out loud, because of this 'drama' on Rick Mercer report, on FROST WARNING, telling all that they should cover their morning glories with plastic! it is so funny. and also he was travelling thru a corn maze. and of course at the end of the show he goes to kamloops to put out a forest fire and blasts the crew at the end with the water hose. all in the show of course!! This guy is a real laugh!!

PINK SATURDAY

Jaimie put a shine and tint in my hair and a much needed trim. It turned out so nice. I love it. He who fears the Lord has a secure fortress, and for his children it will be a refuge. Proverbs 14:26

The Lord remembers us and will bless us... he will bless those who fear the Lord - small and great alike. May the Lord make you increase, both you and your children. May you be blessed by the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth. Psalm 115:12-15

Keep His decrees and commands, which I am giving you today, so that it may go well with you and your children after you and that you may live long in the land the Lord you God gives you for all time. Deut. 4:40

Blessing: Found a really nice site on blessing called the Aloha Spirit...click on this word to read its pages.

Everyday I pray for a blessing on my gandchildren and my children. We live in such a world that they need the power of God in their lives. Many times it shows in their actions and words and play that God has placed his love in them. I am so thankful for the song He gives them and for the energy each one has.

There is another book called 'The Blessing' which is a very inspiring read. click on the words below.....

The Blessing

May each have a happy sabbath blessing and may each have fun looking for things pink.....

LEFTOVERS

AS usual there are always lots of leftovers after a major dinner. I was reminded of the time Jesus blessed the food and there was 12 baskets left over. that is what i felt like!!! I sent al lot of food home with my kids and we did throw some away that is gong to be composted someplace. Well it was a very good dinner and the girls made pies that we didn't eat because we had birthdaycake which half of it got frozen for another time.

BUT here is the salad that i put together for the left over special!!!

First I roasted sweet potatoes and sprinkled sea salt and lime juice on it. slice the potatoes like small fry strips.

Then the same thing with parsnips and roast them with honey and garlic and olive oil, sea salt. Cut tem in small strips too.

Make cabbage salad with broken romen noodles, mushrooms chives etc.

make a green salad with the usual other veggies
make a hemp dressing and pour on top--i have had this salad for breakfast dinner and supper!!!One thing about the hemp is that it is very filling and will last all day! the same with the sweet potato--it is filling and very good for you.

Now this picture of the salad is everything all mixed up together and it is actually very good!!!!

THANKSGIVING MEMORIES FOR YOU

Josie Madison Alice Smith-Wlasenko - born October 7. She almost has royalty behind her first name!!! She was born in the hospital here in Hazelton.
The girls went for a walk and picked posies along the roadsides which matched very nicely with the cake. hey paid a visit to the horse across the road and the many goats from the neighbor behind us. He had a dog that came the last time the girls were here but today there was no sign of her???
today was very rainy and chilly but there was blue sky off and on as you can see by the picture below the sun came out for a few minutes for the children to go and play in the puddle and make them dance on the golden leaves glistening in the sun beams. A good day for waching movies.

the day before i went to pick the girls up to bring them home and we stopped at the famous tourist spot at the fish hatchery in Morristown.

pancakes for breakfast with corn, pears and peanut butter and orange juice
playing kitchen with raisins, nuts and dried bananas!!!! and here we are for thanksgiving dinner.....................Rhys playing peek a boo.............

HAPPY CANADIAN THANKSGIVING

THE THINGS I HAVE DONE

Why me, Lord?
What have I ever done to deserve even one
Of the pleasures I've known
Lord, what did I ever do to deserve your love to me
And the kindness You've shown
Lord help me Jesus I've wasted it...So help me Jesus,
You know what I am
Now that I know that I've needed you...So help me Jesus my soul's in Your hands
Try me Lord, if You think there's a wayI can ever repay, all I've taken from You
Maybe Lord, I can show someone else
What I've been through myself
On my way back to You
Lord help me Jesus I've wasted it...So help me Jesus,
You know what I am
Now that I know that I've needed you...
So help me Jesus my soul's in Your hands

I Bowed On My Knees
(and cried Holy)
Written By: Nettie Dudley Washington

Verse I

I dreamed of a city called Glory
So bright and so fair
When I entered the gates I cried Holy
The angels all met me there
They carried me from mansion to mansion
And oh the sites I saw
Then I said I want to see Jesus
The one who died for all

Chorus

Then I bowed on my knees and cried Holy, Holy, I cried Holy
I clapped my hands and said Glory, Glory to the Lamb of God
Glory to the Lamb of God

Verse II

As I entered the gates of that city
My loved ones all knew me well
They took me down the streets of Heaven
The scenes too many to tell
I saw Abraham, Jacob and Isaac
Mark and Timothy
But then I said I want to see Jesus
The One who died for me

2nd Chorus:

Then I bowed on my knees and cried Holy, Holy, I cried Holy
I clapped my hands and said Glory, Glory, I said Glory, Glory
I clapped my hand and said Glory, Glory to the Lamb of God
