Something..........

Show and Tell Today...click on the picture and visit the other blogs-- enjoy and be inspired.

There seems to be a lot of weddings going on this week, my nephew in Calgary, a friends daughter here at home is marrying the son of a lady I used to go to school with, last weekend one of my boys friends was married, so this post is about something old...............an old picture of my grandmother, who I was told I most looked like, a lady who started this chain of life in our family--she had a legacy to preserve and sometimes ws over zealous in how she went about it, but then sometimes don't we all!!! And old- because she is not living anymore and she lived till she was in her early 70's. Just a note --she loved to do the highland fling and was a fun person. After her husband died she seemed to have lots of 'beaus' come around but never did marry again........

And something borrowed.......this little book that has its covers lost and is scribbled on with the use of children, has words that I will borrow and write for you to read....

Recipe For A Happy Birthday

Take a cup of morning sunshine, That stays with you all day long,

A dab of smiles from those you love,

A hear that's filled with song....

Sift in some time to be yourself, Some moments ripe with fun....

Blend carefully with special joys, And plans you've just begun....

Then stir in lots of heart's content, A tablespoon of love,

And spice with specially warm "Hellos" from friends you're fondest of.....Top off with things like rainbows, (But without a drop of rain!)

And a dash of warm remembrance from walks down Memory Lane....

Then warm with happy feelings that confirm, without a doubt,

Your birthday has the flavor that you've often dreamed about! And if you chance to mix success in all you undertake

With dreams-come-true, you're apt to find that's "icing on the cake".

A picture of a wedding cake i found on the net that i liked... and now something blue, a pair of candle holders that my sister had given me long time ago that sure are a pretty blue.

Be Available- God has your phone number!!!!

Thanks for dropping by my blog. Great idea for a post - Something old, new etc.

The group that you lead sounds great - would love to find out more about what you do. (Although Ireland is a bit far to travel from!)

Weddings are such a nice reason for a show and tell. Your grandmother's photo is so beautiful and full of personality. She looks like such a lovely and friendly person. When I looked at her I thought "I would like to know her". This was such a fun and happy show and tell.
