Pilot me............
For some reason this blog is not letting me move the pictures around. They must shut down at night or something!!!! Anyway i had to drive into town and pick up my daughter and as you can tell it was pitch dark as they say....
I was wishing i had a camera that took good pictures at night because the sides of the road were so beautiful with the snow laden trees looking like plush pile , the sides of the road banked with snow, it was warm enough yet cold enough for the road to be tacky and not slippery. Stars were shining brightly and you could see the big dipper. Great night.
Alone on the road but for a trucker and a car or two. Then there was a car in front of me . and a thought crossed my mind.............i was wishing for Jesus.......and i was wondering about something pink for this post...........i had nothing............then these lights, two of them, not exactly pink but of the pink family..........how nice to have someone lead the way!!!! and in a moment of panic when you don't know how to speak or call the name of Jesus....he actually is there in fron t of you.....Think about the name of Jesus and he will lead you.
may you have a happy sabbath and a bright Pink Saturday!!!!!!

"Jesus, Savior, Pilot Me"
by Edward Hopper, 1818-1888
1. Jesus, Savior, pilot me
Over life's tempestuous sea;
Unknown waves before me roll,
Hiding rock and treacherous shoal.
Chart and compass come from Thee:
Jesus, Savior, pilot me.
2. As a mother stills her child,
Thou canst hush the ocean wild;
Boisterous waves obey Thy will
When Thou say'st to them, "Be still!"
Wondrous Sovereign of the sea,
Jesus, Savior, pilot me.
3. When at last I near the shore,
And the fearful breakers roar
'Twixt me and the peaceful rest,
Then, while leaning on Thy breast,
May I hear Thee say to me,
"Fear not, I will pilot thee."

Just thoughts for this morning....
13 Then Jesus came from Galilee to John at the Jordan to be baptized by him. 14 And John tried to prevent Him, saying, “I need to be baptized by You, and are You coming to me?” 15 But Jesus answered and said to him, “Permit it to be so now, for thus it is fitting for us to fulfill all righteousness.” Then he allowed Him. 16 When He had been baptized, Jesus came up immediately from the water; and behold, the heavens were opened to Him, and He[a] saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting upon Him. 17 And suddenly a voice came from heaven, saying, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.”
What am i thinking when i copied and pasted this?? Suddenly it dawned on me that the important thing is submission, obedience, willingness, determination and quiet assertion were his ways of showing us how to do thngs. You know i am not one to express love or very great outward motions of love, but i am sure that Christ's actions were of love too for his heavenly Father and earthly parents. He cared for what they were teaching Him. He cared for their persons. He respected his family and had great compassion to others who were to witness for him.
Father in heaven, my prayer for today is for us all to see the love of Christ and keep it in their hearts. It will glow to others!! and then we will learn love as did the baptist when he gave his love to Christ by his act of submission in the dedication service of baptism.

OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD
Women's Ministry meeting is in about three weeks now and i needed to come up with somethings for the ladies to do as they do not like crafts for some reason, so here is an idea for Christmas that they might like. It is doing something for others and that is operation christmas child. Click on the link here and you will see what others have done.....Link It is a touching story what Michael Smith did.
Here is how to pack a Shoe Box.....Link
Is this not pretty!!!! i found it on the internet on someones site. you probably have seen it when it was shown for another pink saturday. But the colors, the warm tea and candies will certainly warm you up when you look at the weather outside my pink curtains!!!
I covered my windows with plastic yesterday. The wind was just howling and blowing in a storm of 5 inches of snow. Winter comes and goes. And so does the sun. This week I was amazed to see a rainbow and now the snow. My pellet stove is keeping the house warm and soon there will be Christmas lights to put a warm glow to everything. Here is a song for you to listen to...make sure you turn the blog music off at the bottom of the page!!! and click the link under the title.....
NO ONE CARED BUT JESUS
VERSE 1
I would love to tell you what I think of Jesus
Since I found in Him a friend so strong and true
I would tell you how He changed my life completely
He did something that no other friend could do
CHORUS 1
No one ever cared for me like Jesus
There's no other friend so kind as He
No one else could take the sin and darkness from me
Oh how much He cared for me
VERSE 2
Everyday He comes to me with new assurance
More and more I understand His words of love
But I'll never know just why He came to save me
Till someday I see His blessed face above
REPEAT CHORUS 1
No one ever cared for me like Jesus
There's no other friend so kind as He
No one else could take the sin and darkness from me
Oh how much He cared for me
CHORUS 2
Oh yes, He cares
I know He cares
His heart is touched by my grief
When the days are dreary
The long nights weary
I know my Savior cares
TAG
When the days are dreary
The long nights weary
I know that Jesus cares
happy pink sabbath!!

REMEMBER THE MORNING
Every so often I find myself discouraged, and little weary. ‘Why,’ I ask, ‘do I bother fighting this feeling every day?’ It is on those dark days, when I believe we are fighting a losing war, that I dig deep and seek inspiration. This search for encouragement is found in many forms, usually by accident. It can be a simple fleeting thought, a song on the CD that plays its constant tunes, a line in a book, or a scene from a movie...Now I remember; it is morning again.
there was a rainbow this week that stretched over the whole valley. it lasted a whole hour, then slowly faded into the morning. wonderful covenant from the Son of the Morning!

Hummmmmmm....it is PINK SATURdAY AGAIN
Jaimie and Josie are visiting grandma this weekend, so I drove into Smithers to get them as there were a few things on my shopping list. I also wanted to get a passport picture done as I am planning on going to Bolivia to visit my son there. They - pictures-are terrible now a days--not allowed to smile, had to take my glasses off---they hide the face!!!! well at least i think they do!!!! Anyway while waiting for them to develop i wandered thru the store and guess what--there were these pink roses made out of soap leaves. So i bought two boxes right there to give to the ladies as a part of a gift bag for Christmas. They are so pretty!!!
Josie putting her pet bunny to bed. this bunny will let you do almost anything ..........
and here she is dressing up one of the posters on the bed with her inventions of her mom's dress , a bath towel and a doily. She loved it...............
and here was another thing i found when leaving the drug store....a pink car!!!!!
Pink petals passing
Scents above so high
Painted porcelain perfection
Blossoms caress the sky
Swaying silent shroud
Suitors strolling by Pink petals passing
Lover's gentle sigh
Pastel hues falling
Slow fluttering grace
Pink petals passing
Lining streams in lace
Pink petals passing
Smoothest transit by
Soft essence floating
In most subtle lullaby
Inducing springtime slumber
Upon a satin shore
Sailing with the current
Pink petals pass before

“For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your forefathers, but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect” (1 Peter 1:18, 19, NIV).
“For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your forefathers, but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect” (1 Peter 1:18, 19, NIV).
"Nothing But The Blood of Jesus" can save a sinful soul like mine! And I am so thankful that He gives us this way to immulate his personality.
Have a good weekend and blessing be upon you this week........happy pink saturday~~~WELCOME to the sabbath day--off to church we go!!!
