I love your smile as you read and leave comments, it leaves a smile on me as well!!! I have to give the credit to a lot of bloggers out there who leave pictures and comments and so it is with pleasure I share what they have already shared, i hope no one will be offended, consider it a compliment when you see it again!

Hopefully this little video will make you smile again as this little PINK pig tries to get his cookie, prepare to relax and watch it thru lol.
some of us have such addictions it is curious lol, we have a lady at work.....uh....not me ! of course, haha....her addiction is chocolate, she is very slim, always cold, she wears a sweater and has a heater in her operatory, but everytime she sees me she says do you have any chocolate? on Friday she would go into the lunch room and grab a chocolate in between every patient. that is probably not funny to you but to us it is. She just has to have chocolate! and so this little movie is applicable to all of our addictions.

THIS is probably a strange thing to talk about on Pink Saturday, but everything goes eh!!!! we have some friends this weekend that have died and so their funeral is being held this Saturday. They were an older couple that had medical issues and after a long illness finally have been given rest. We are sad to see them go but glad that as someday they will see Jesus raise them and meet Him when He comes to takes us to heaven. Death is but a sleep!
i have always been so squimish about death and dreaded the thought of bugs eating me and being covered with six feet of dirt and felt sorry for the people buried in the cemetary. What could be better???......cremation.....oh i don't know! UNTIL i went shopping for caskets with my friend one day and i saw a PINK casket! It had frills and lace and pillows and even a pink blanket. i remember the relief that came over me suddenly i did not mind any more lol lol
Is that crazy or what.....anyway i still would not dying in a cloud of pink.

PS. yes that is the most important legacy is that their heart is with God and they will be ready to meet their Friend and yes i agree it might be better just to keep it between me and God about the color, i don't know but perhaps a blanket could be thrown across it if it offends anyone hahahha, this one might be for a child but i did see an adult coffer as well!!!! thank you so much for leaving me comments, i am glad if even this caused a smile!!!!

OH another PS. i would like to be buried in one of my mothers old fashioned ruffled, beribboned pink and white rosed nighties,, hahahha but if the men are present and are embarrassed then they only need to look from the head up hahah God will change my clothes into more perfect ones later!!!!

and here is the purse i want to carry my Bible in, and a doll, and my mothers crystal dish....really do i need anything else lol!!! oh some lipstick that tastes like cotton candy.

Life for a New Year

The New Year is 2012, and already the shepherds have gone back to their sheep, the yearly taxes have been counted, Mary and Joseph with their new born son have to pick up and flee, leaving the comfort of their stable floor of hay and the quiet lowing of animals. Now they have to listen to human voices chasing, squabbling, and demanding. But finally with the guidance of angels and a heavenly protection, they make their way to safety where the parents begin what we call home schooling today! Mary and Joseph had an awesome task ahead of them as do we as parents and grand parents to teach them in the ways of the Lord, this was not the most exciting week for me as i had my grandkids, they were so unruly i must say, i don't know what the matter was, and so i admire all the homeschoolers out there who teach their own kids.

And a CRAFT for the kids and adults to enjoy....save up all those toilette paper rolls!!!! and one other CRAFT to do. Okay so here are bunnies and flowers to enjoy as a center piece on the table as well for the kids!

CHRISTMAS DAY

WOW! it is here again! only two more days or one by the time i get this done......my three oldest kids have their birthday on the 25th. Only one is close though so I will make her a Chocolate Caramel cake with vanilla pudding in the middle and whipping cream icing with old fashioned roses for decoration. i am just about ready.....have to wrap the presents yet! bought one daughter brand new sheets, the other is getting a church cookie jar! i have always wanted a cookie jar and now that no one is home it remains empty so maybe she will keep it full! the boys are so far away, i wish they were here too. I made a big pot of beans and a sweet onion and cranberry cheesecake with sage and garlic. it is sort of like a quiche.

The time is here! I wonder what Mary did in preparation for the big trip--on a donkey !!, did she gather some figs to nibble on, where did she get the blanket He would be wrapped in? did Joseph cut the cord as some fathers do today>Did He cry right away? No one was prepared for the King in those days and now we have a whole year and still there are many last minute things to do,

I made one of these tonite, it turned out so well..........................the ladies did not have Martha Stewart in those days but if they did would they have chosen this gift wrapped package....

or the Shepherds-what would they have wrapped it in............

or the Wise Men....

whatever the Gift, however it was wrapped, God accepted, even the gift of a humble heart that believed on Him! Even the gift of our voices as we sing the praises of the birth and glory of Jesus.

May each one have a Wonderful Christmas day and the Blessing of Christ be upon each one.

This Friday as I gather my candles together, synomatically their flickering lights, cascading with the softly falling snow brings this evening to a close. I remember the sounds of majesty the Christmas songs from the satellite radio as i drive the hour to work and then back again. It is a peaceful evening, and a lonely one, the cat still is adjusting to its new home and is in hiding under the bed. Sabbath is here.

Hello all and welcome to my world! this week i am borrowing pictures from blogs i have found with my favorite looking trees, as yet i have not put one up so here are others, i love the chair and country style of this one.

This one is utterly fantastic and one that you want to wear high heels to, and below when outside you can see the heavy frost on rosehip laden branches, such beauty at this time of year!!!

and now for the pink theme are little minatures that are just perfect for a coffee table or centerpiece,

this year i joined a secret sister club and i forgot to take pictures what i made for her, what a silly person, she is going away to see her family so i made pages with family spaces for her to scrapbook and another Christmas box with the most lovely cookies that were made by a Mennonite bakery. They are seeded apricot oatmeal cookies. Don't they sound good!!!

Well have fun this week decorating and crafting and baking

The Lord shall help the needy- i pray that all those that are hungry, lonely, the fatherless, be helped this day, to comfort and fulfill their needs. i like this song with its thanksgiving and promise.

I am thankful for the sun this morning, it is so cold here~20 below and windy. there is four feet of snow in the mountains but here at home we have about an inch or two. When the sun comes out i love the reflections and cheerful brightness it leaves all over, here is the reflection in my kitchen window

the heart in the middle of the window was made by my oldest daughter when she was in grade one, how long ago was that!!!!! almost 20yrs ago!!!! it has always been on my window!!!

i think i put this here because there was still beet juice on the window and it is PINK, so can you see the pink spots heheh!

And Thru my Pink Curtains!!!!!.............you can see the sunlight on the trees, frost on the window and now it is time to decorate the house for Christmas!!!!

Another Day in Winter

Friday Rolls around again after a week of slush and snow and driving thru it to work and back But i am thankful for safety, protection and the ability to drive. Others were not quite so fortunate as there was a huge accident above town here where trucks collided and one did not survive.

I look out my kitchen window and notice how red the strawberry plants are and have to wonder how the poppies bloom, maybe he thought they were poppies when they were really strawberry plants. Oh well, no matter, to day is the day we all remember the fallen, the survivors and their offspring, the legacy each one will have, the knowledge that our worst fears by war happening again is already realized in other parts of the world. it will happen again. and this time we have got to know that it could be the second coming of Jesus. are we ready? will we fight to the end and remember the many stories we hear on TV/books/stories how people were brought thru war by angels, by kindness, by miracles, by memories, by nature , the tiny things that make us remember God is still alive thru all the torn things in this world. We open our eyes and still see beauty!!!!! do you see the little purple pansies in the pictures!

Well! it is birthday time again and my little granddaughter is growing up into a great girl. a very grown up girl in her thinking and taking responsibility as an older child, looking after her home and brother and reasoning things out, it is so interesting to watch and yet there is still the little girl in her that makes her adorable.....

everything had to be PINK, what else!!! the only color is pink!!!!

so inside this lovely looking cake that i decorated it is a very bright pink

with a special cookie with pink icing and pink flowers and a pink bow

of course her brother wanted to help and she graciously let him

her dishes had to be pink also and here are the grandmothers loving every moment, She made her a lovely scrapbook of her life up to now with lots of family, cousings, her dad, and other memories, it was so nice of an idea, i am jealous i did not think of doing something like that!!!!!

Fall Colors and happenings

its the end of October and sabbath is here, i have the grandkids for the weekend and we are doing lots of things, we collected leaves, made cookies, made cards, colored masks and pictures, Rhys already stood in the corner because he was screaming, it would have been easier to put the paper in the garbage but instead he took the long way around. i guess that is a boys prerogative!!!! we also ran around the house five times and today we will run around again.

Bus here are some other pinks too, hope you enjoy the fall colors...........and rosehips, we have so many this year...........

our princess and of course the prince in waiting too is making cookies and you can see they are wearing grandmas aprons, she has her pink princess dress on, which is the favorite of everyday and all hours, hope you notice the pink butterfly cookie cutter too!!!!!

this is outside my bedroom window which i opened to have a peek what the weather was like, what a wonderful sight, lots of pink beyond the screen!!! , there is the pink and white fluff of the fireweeds, morning sunrise is always pink, and of sorts the scarlet runners that are just starting to grow after our wet and cold summer.

this morning a huge brown bear, a grizzly someone said, passed in front of this window but he dissappeared to fast for me to take a picture, i hope he comes again in the morning!!

we are having a quite warm evening now, so nice to be able to sit out on the porch and enjoy the night air.

i meant to put a pic here that i saw as i was going to work at 7 am, this rainbow stretched for 30km or so and lasted for two hours!! so unusual but amazing. while a friend and i stood there at work watching, it moved from behing to in front of the mountain! i mentioned that it was right over her house!!, she said yeah, maybe i will win the lottery hahha...

well it may not be an exciting rainbow but for us it was because i have never seen a rainbow at seven in the morning before!!!!

Well my blessing today was seeing my Pink Yarrow in bloom, for the dinner at a friends place that i invited myself to, lol, rain the keeps coming down and hoping the earth will have soaked up enough to last another year, for songs, for the inspiration of the Holy Spirit.

The Blessing of a Sunset

The Blessing is looking up into the heaven and realizing that the most beautiful thing is that there is a Creator who has given us the beauty of the earth, the beauty of my country, my reward from choosing Him in my life. But something is gone. the laughter of small feet and the presence of trucks and skidoos and an earthly father.

my life has been one continual blessing

as i look back over the years, yes i have been thru divorce, never remarried although i tried, went on singles but God did not provide that blessin for me.

BUT

throughout the uears He has given me a way to provide for my family, keeping them fed, providing a wonderful piece of property, that grew beautiful pink flowers of every shape and form, the picture below is a small portion of it, school close by, a church family,

wonderful country setting town, angels have surrounded us on every hand, now my children are grown up, healthy, making their own choices and having the Lord in thier lives. Their children are blessed with each other. it has not been easy but God is with us and what more could anyone wish for!!! He is a great God.

How can two birds be so lovely~these are pics from my cousin who lives in Australia, Well happy PINK SATURDAY to all who read this post. events of the summer have been very eventful for our families. We have lost most of the members of the otherside of the name i used to carry, in other words my childrens father, uncle and grandfather have all passed away with in six months of each other, my daughter and I have had our summer romances , and my other daughter has moved into a new house, my son and his wife came over from Bolivia who i probable will not be able to see because we do not have the finances, but we talk on skype and the phone alot. and fall has finally arrived with snow on the mountain and fall colore settling in. the garden is mostly in and the mice are hungry and withstanding all pest controls, there is a big hole in my trailer to fix and the propane heater for the long winter under the trailer is ready. my life does sound rather predicatble now doesn't it.

Except for PINK SATURDAY , we have all the exciting things to look at and be thankful for,

this was such a pretty pink and pretty wedding party i had to include it also here

The foggy salmon colored smoke of the summer clouded the skies,

i loved this beach also , the sand looks a soft pink

and lastly is food, a FIG, that perhaps could use a bit of imagination to wonder where the pink is, but does it not make your mouth water.

Hello Everyone! it has ben a long time since i have been blogging, seems like this month has gone b so fast and a short time since May 30 Pink Saturday. GUESS what!!!!!!!! I finally mailed the boxes for the draw today ladies, they are on the way, i am sorry it took so long and i am a terrible one to go to the post office, but you should get them in two weeks as i sent them ground.

PINK WILD ROSES IN BLOOM

These are lupins in my yard. I took a walk around and suddenly came upon these growing in the middle of nowhere. they are so pretty...

here is my granddaughter in pink and she made a snow girl out of styrofoam balls that she got out of my craft drawers. that is the first place she goes , she loves craft things, we used pink tissue for the skirt and bib.

I love verse 1 where God says that anthing in my life that is a wall or i come up against problems that are too hearbreaking or too much for me to handle He will open the doors and let me see the way to another person, or thought, or way of handling a certain situation. He will, instead of the barriers, appoint a way of salvation. These verses have been such a comfort to me in the last two weeks, so i hope they bless you too.

Hello Everyone!! what an exciting time for us all!! Happy 2nd Anniversary for Pink Saturday, such fun to see all the pink pictures and creations, my big 60th this year on May 30th actually and I have just noticed it is my 200th post. So I will be sending out two gifts from the draw for all of you who leave a note on my blog. Draw closes 10:00pm my time in BC as that is when i probably will turn in from all the excitement from the day.

Well, people, friends, ladies and who ever will be seeing this blog--these last two months have been quite something with a little bit of stress on the mind and I have struggled thru it all wondering how come God let these things happen. And one thing this week stands out in my mind and that is Psalms 78........

He did miracles in the sight of their fathers in the land of Egypt, in the region of Zoan. 68 but he chose the tribe of Judah, Mount Zion, which he loved.

                  13 He divided the sea and led them through; he made the water stand firm like a wall.

This weekend i went to a lake nearby and there must have been about three hundred swans.....here are some of them....sorry about the icture quality as i most certainly am not a good photographer and probably need a new camera....It was wonderful hearing them honk and listening to the water ripple

here is my grand daughter posing at a picnic table site by the Canadian Tire store. we bought subway sandwiches and came here. it was sunny and rather cold out but the first picnic of the spring for us. it was fun...

OK! now for potluck food, it is a good thing adventists always bring lots of food as the group of 10 extra Pathfinders came down from Prince George......All vegetarian including, potato salad, peanut butter roast, veggie spring rolls made by the Philipino pastors wife, perogies, salads, Linketts from Loma Linda, beans, bread, and plenty of dessert and more on other tables......usually those who cannot make it to church get some paper plates with a variety of food taken to them also...

OK! here is one thing i did this week and one pink bowl measuring cup!!!!! These are orange rolls, using a sweet dough with a sour cream and orange glaze. Very fattening and sugary but very good........

This week as usual i am on the road at 7am or ten after is usually the case and then i set the cruise at 120 ks and go the 69ks to work. the sun is just starting to rise and such beauty i see as the red rays of the sun go beyond the circle of the earth, almost every morning the skies are pink or red or then the oposite happens and the dark clouds make it so much like night....well sort of!!

here is an evening picture as i arrived home it was snowing and raining and sunny at the same time.....

the colors are fantastic. God is so great to create such and affect.

I saw a couple of chocolate brown moose also while going to work on the straight stretch, they bounded over the fince and i just caught the sight on one on my camera---can you see it on the left hand side of the picture, you can't miss it really!!!!!.........about a quarter of the way up past the cracks in my windshield....oh well i tried.....

then i took a picture of a funny dog with two colored eyes, and a beaver dam, but i never see any beavers...

Garden Green Pea Souffle

This turned out amazingly good!   At first i thought it was very basic as it has everything that was in the fridge and not really measured as I find that a difficult thing to do...but here goes and you may want to do some adjustments yourself.......

2 1/2 cups cooked fresh or frozen garden peas~ some will be blended and some you will save for decoration
1       cup of cooked red quinoa/cous cous ~ i used a mixture

In the blender--

2 extra large egg
about a quarter brick of medium tofu
one clove garlic
2 large tbsp chopped onion
oh! yes and a squeeze or two of lemon
a bit of dill
salt and pepper
about a quarter cup of pistachio

blend this and add some peas and blend again so that it has small chunks still, pour into quinoa mixture and then into  a buttered bowl ~ you can either bake this or i just put it in the microwave for three minutes because there was just me.
decorate with our favorite mayo, ginger, slice of strawberry and a sprig of dill with the rest of the peas around and anything else you would like....it is good with salsa too

I am so excited as i was wondering what to do for pink things today!!!!......I walked into my library where all my plants love to be, the sun shines just right and in their direction in the morning, and what do i see but a very beautiful white cactus bloom with a very pink center!!!

Well spring is finally here -- snow has melted, swans have landed in the lake, geese and robins have been here for a while now, trees are beginning to bud and someone said the gooseberry bushes have green leaves!!!! which is a sure sign also. Another good sign is the woodpecker which i heard last week.

Do we dare change our snow tires yet? or will the weather play a trick on us---hahah

the birds have been filling the air with song and it surely is a great sound......

Pink Cotton Candy Drink

This is such a sugar pink colour, it glows! Serves 4

3 pink grapefruits
2 limes
2 ripe soft pears
2 cups of melon
Remove the citrus peel and juice all the ingredients in a juicer.

this is the view i had this morning after coming home from smithers. beautiful sunrise and clear crisp morning.

well it is not really a piece of cake! it just looks like it could be.

this reminds me of a segment on 3ABN when David Assureck was explaining the 2300 day prophecy in Daniel, yes we are still on that chapter!, a day equals a year---it's a piece of cake do you understand, he would say. so this period actually covers 2 thousand and so years right to the day. How accurate and all foreseeing and considerate of a God do we have to let us know the very times we live in! In spite of all the plans for Lucifer to destroy the world, God still had a way for the people to know him thru the reformation and translations of the Bible for the people.

I seem to be on a food roll lately, and this one i found while looking at someone's blog, it was so pretty, a different way of presenting these doughy morsels other than the regular cream and fried onions. Spring is coming and soon we can use the pink apple blossoms also with these perogies. My then mother in law used to make them from scratch with blueberries, with saurkraut, potatoes and cheese, they were so good--i am hungry for some. One day I will attempt to make them!!!!! lots of work....

I was wondering if there was such a thing as a pink clover leaf instead of a green one for pink saturday and sure enough there was!!! saw a pink clover leaf on a mouse pad too.

What a week i have had, personal struggles in family decisions and having to give up or is the word let go of three of my children because i wanted the other one to be secure, full of misunderstanding and lies to overcome and anger. Depression set in, my legs could not get off the couch.

Finally, i decided to write a letter and do some confronting and apologetics, Suddenly a burden was lifted and God saw me thru the day. It was like walking on air. What an amazing thing that God could take a heavy thing and make it right again. Now I have been given my children again.

FOODIE FRIDAY ~~ fRENCH vEGGIE qUICHE

This is the first time for FOODIE FRIDAY, and the recipe i made today turned out so good and rich and full of veggies you can use from the fridge of things you need to use right away, good enough for a country meal or rich repast for a mansion.

start out with a

Cornmeal Crust

1 cup flour

1/4 cup cornmeal

scant tsp of salt

1/4 cup softened margarine forked fine in the flour

one egg with 1 1/2 tbsp water

rolled out to a perfect quater inch on white butchers paper and then draped over a glass pie plate

French Quiche

4 eggs

1 1/2 cups whipping cream

with sprinkling of salt and pepper

in the blender

Saute

small leek, small zuccini, ends of asparagras

slice all , add water to fry pan, drain

Layer

of crumbled goat cheese

sauted vegies

cream custard

Bake 350 for 20-25 minutes

very yummy!!

filled with lots of good things.........this picture i found at Once Upon A Plate now!! if you are vegetarian you could always use ginger slices and tofu with a bit of blacberry jam.

Cashew Cheese

- 190 grams (1 1/2 cups) plain cashew nuts (not roasted or salted)
- 60 to 80 ml (1/4 to 1/3 cup) water
- 2 teaspoons freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 2 cloves garlic, finely minced
- 1/2 teaspoon fine sea salt
- freshly ground pepper

Makes about 1 1/2 cups.

Place the nuts in a salad bowl, cover with fresh water, and let stand for 2 hours.

Drain the nuts and place them in the bowl of a food processor or blender. Add 60 ml (1/4 cup) water and the rest of the ingredients, and mix until thoroughly puréed, stopping to scrape the sides of the bowl every once in a while. Add a little more water and blend again to adjust the consistency, if necessary; the cheese will get a little more solid as it sets.

Transfer to a bowl, cover, and let stand somewhere cool for 24 hours before placing in the fridge, where it will keep for another 5 days.

here is a really good vegetarian recipe, mix all ingredients together in processor or just mash beans and mix the rest together as chunks. Make sure to roll the patties in extra bread crumbs and fry in oil or bake till heated thru.

this has been some kind of week giving a presentation on breathing that is so involved, and really so much more to know than i have learned, but good experience as a starter. in essence the power of carbon dioxide in the body is amazing with the art of breathing thru your nose. anything else will not work. the health of the body along with proper diet and exercise will extend the life to medical freedom.

I have been studying the book of Daniel, chapter 11, a very long and prophetic chapter that describes the wars and conquests and alliances of the kings of the south and north, who fought with the Israelite~God's chosen people in the middle. They were buffeted from one side of the nations to the other.

the kings represent the devil, fighting to destroy the remnant of Gods people

There is a story of a father who was reading a book. He was complaining about the contents and saying the story was not going well...his daughter picked up the book and started reading and finally said, "Don't worry father everything turns out okay!" how did you know??? Well she said i read the end!!

The end of this world is coming and it is told about in the Bible, Daniel 12:1, and Michael shall stand up.....in every word of the book, He says he will come and be our God, He will take us to heaven if we believe and stay faithful.. He will win! He will win!

That gives me HOPE.

But things have to happen in her life an someday .....it is too long to think about...

Looking back into all my pictures and things of my first grand daughter, who you can tell is four here, well she has grown up and changed a lot in the last three years, i made a cake with a decorated barbie doll. She could barely touch the cake for fear of ruining it. i should have made two !!!! one to eat and one to look at!!!!

Thought for today:: there was this fellow who just installed a GPS in his car. wanting to get out of a particularily desperate situation he listened to what it was saying but kept getting lost. The GPS would say Ok! you went too far, or turn back, lets try again, i will help you find the way, lets do it this way. Several times this happened until finally he reached his destination.

God's book the bible is our GPS! leading us, helping us find the way, always telling us ahead of time events that are going to happen before they take place so that we will be saved. He sent Noah, Jeremiah and Jonah, and other prophets to warn the people that if they did not return to the Lord, their life would end or become lost as the man with the GPS. Did they listen, will we listen to the Word or the still small Voice?
That is such a comfort to me as the end of the world is coming, and also thru daily life, that he will lead me, because He will let me know by signs and events how close this time is getting. He will send His angels charge over me to keep me. Praise the Lord! Happy Sabbath to all. may the pink things you see bless you also!!!

I was typing in things to find that were pink on the internet and found a couple of interesting things.....here is a pink dolphin that lives in the same vicinity where i visited in Bolivia, although i did not see one and we crossed the Mamore River many times to Brasil, maybe it was a good thing otherwise i probably would have fallen out of the boat just to look at it!!!!! there is one in the USA also Pink--you can CLICK jere

I also saw Bolivias largest bird called the Jabiru - Click while it is not pink, it is a fantastic sight to behold such a large bird in the wild. This is a reallly nice video of one.

this poem means more to me than any other poem i have written...let me tell you the story....

one day as i was travelling to alberta in the middle of winter, Christmas time in fact, going to Calgary to see my kids, sitting alone on a bus seat and wondering what on earth i was doing on a bus but thankful i was not in my car, wondering where God was and who was God, but thankful for the privilege of looking out the window when not concentrating on driving. The scenery was absolutely tremendous going thru Jasper and looking at the mountains, the waves in the rocks, the layers, at the bottom the sand that had fallen from the wind blown rocks, suddenly there were trees and suddenly there was bare land. Beneath the land was water. Suddenly I realized that our land holds treasures also of a flood, and people are looking today for truth and onl Jesus can show me the way.....

do you believe the bible is true, do you believe in Jesus Christ as the Creator, do you believe He layered the rocks by a flood and hid within its rocks fossils, scrolls, gold and pearls, human writings and remains that tell the story which belongd over 2000 years ago which sometimes we wonder at today.

do you believe in the prophecies which says cities will be desolate---babylon in iraq-desolate, tyre and sidon that became a place for fish nets, Cyrus was named in the bible 100 years before he was born Isaiah 44 he allowed the Jewish captives to go free after capturing Babylon, , the story of Joseph that explains the seven lean and fat years, he wrote on the walls himself, the dead sea scrolls that give accurate word for word accounts of the holy word, King Sihon ~who people say never existed and human hands from written words has acounted for the very king, the lion with wings that is in a museum in England that is from the palaces of Nebuchanezzar, they say he never built the palaces and thru the writing on the stones he says the city I have built.! the city of Petra -- buried from humaity for over 500 years--was predicted from the bible that it would be empty of any human soul---can you doubt the bible????

Jesus, who gave me these words to write on a scribbled back of a recept from Safeway in about 10 minutes, the words tumbled out, put an excitement in my heart as i feel now even thinking and writing about that moment 10 years ago.

Jesus, who preserved this knowedge of ancient times for me, who returns the cycle of life, the stars implanted in the sky bears testimony of a Creator, who carried my sins on his shoulders to the cross, who promised my sins would be white as snow, the frozen waters lay there waiting in time and i sat there, i longed for the melted water to cover me again with his love, tears filled my eyes.

Jesus, said the windows of heaven would open, yes, they poured out revelation for me and i saw the whole world pass before me. I long for each one who reads this that you would believe in Jesus and no matter what you are going thru to ask Him to be by your side. I will always have problems but i will always know that Jsus is sitting beside me and helping me and keeping me company. i will always believe that the Bible is true.

Happy New Year

Good morning to everyone! how have you been this weekend? It has been off to a good start already, no personal goal like other years because they never get fulfilled and no physical goals of losing weight or getting projects done, BUT i have plans .........and that is to work on a quilt, lose weight and save money and travel.....lets see

another one is to make this cake.....this is very blurry because i need a new camera and my scanner decided not to work but you get the idea.........and it is pink!!!!!!

As i was looking over some blos there are really nice ideas of what to do for next Christmas and here is what i found.....

someone has gone to a lot of work and made these ornaments, i think that would be a good project thruout the year to do also with all the tin lids from cans and decorate them. She has done a wonderful job.....i am going to give it a try!!!

The quilt pictured above is called Flowers of the Heart, and I was just thinking, what a wonderful ending to this post than to have this as a plan for myself to work on the flowers of my heart that God has already placed there, that are just waiting to bloom~~~ the fruits of the Spirit... may this be fulfilled in you too as you go out in your days this year.

it was a wonderful day. my daughter came to spend the day and we totally enjoyed it. the neighbour guys cut me down a real christmas tree to which the decorations were hurridly put on as i was not going to have one this year. i used pink netting, poinsettias and lace that was in the sewing room...... but here it is!!!

the night before, christmas eve, i made dinner for my other daughter and her family. we made special K roast, peas and carrots, a greek salad and we even put together a lemon pie which was all very delicious. the kid s loved their meal too

the most exciting thing for me was i bought myself a PINK RUBBER SCRAPER i am so excited as i have been without one for a long time.

both of us were very lazy and stayed in our pjs all day. we had a fancy breakfast of french toast, fruit and cranberry cocktail in tall glasses, later on i made her birthday cake of poppyseeds and lemon frosting covered with flowers. so much fun as it was a surprise to her. we sort of nibbled for christmas dinner on all sorts of things but not over doing it and settled in to various things in the living room enjoing the lights and fire on the hearth.

i also looked a raw food blogs and made a roast which even my daughter liked. here it is if you are into raw food

Traditions and Always

Christmas has always seemed a very lonely time for me and always found it hard to keep traditions. But thinking back there was always something to do on this day. The first Christmas alone as a teenager was looking after my friends apartment in Abbotsford, i remember going for a walk around the city looking at the lights with the snow falling gently on the ground. It was a beautiful walk.

Then when I was married we would always go to Saskatoon to visit his folks and sometimes surprise them with the three kids under the Christmas tree. Grandma would come out into the living room and give a great big gasp and laugh and say how did you guys get in here!!!! that was fun.

Then there were the days my children were born--the oldest was born on Christmas day, then the twins were born on Christmas day two years later. was that fun well it was very rewarding and yes --santa did come around and gave me a present! what Christmases we had. Always until the children got much older would i make each one a separate cake for their own besides the Christmas pajamas i would sew each one!! Then later the youngest girl came along in January and the same traditions were kept up for her also.

Now as you see in the picture above is the church we go to. I have for many years decorated the church, put up the bulletin board and put poinsettas and pinecones and wreaths around the sanctuary. One year whild the kids were at home we made a lifelike manger scene. Last year i made banners and bought the flowers and did quite a bit less but the other ladies took over now as i work out of town a lot. Our church is still quite nice and always it is the place where i like to go -- a good sanctuary.

Christmas Memories 2 --thru my pink curtain

Christmas and red ornaments,

Christmas and a red overstuffed chair,

Tis the time for poinsettias

And cranberry sauce.

And northern lights

This was one of my most favorite chairs. Mom had reapolstered this chair and given it to me after much thought, after all it was a lot of work for her to finish it!!! And Dad liked it too.

I always liked to cover my tree with red ornaments and babys breath flowers, with a layer of red tinsel.

I remember one time i drove fourteen hours to Anahim Lake where mom and dad were staying, visited them for the weekend and usually left at two o'clock in the morning for the trip back. I went outside to start the car and looked up at the sky. What a most amazing sight i saw! I think the whole world saw the sky at that time. It was literally pink with Northern Lights just moving and swaying and swishing all over the sky. You never saw such a wonderful sight.

Christmas memories

this is going to be a really hard post to put in writing as i don't have any pictures and the memories are hard to remember . Both parents are gone now and i feel so estranged from my family but here goes.......

We were such a poor family, dad was a bus driver and mom stayed at home looking after the home fires and the needs of the home. We were without running water except for us kids who would run to the creek to carry back two 5 gallon buckets of water.

Every year mom decorated a green tree that grew in plentiful supply in the back yard. the colored baubles and silver icicles on its branches glistened in the light of the huge barrel wood heater in the living room of the school house we lived in.

We could not afford presents and we felt so lonely not getting anything under the tree. But every year my mom's uncle, who lived in the states, mailed us a parcel that we just lived for. It was the highlight of our year!!! He was called Uncle Perley. Inside this box was always a big box of chocolates called Pot of Gold. They most certainlly would not last very long!!! there were other things like manicure sets and socks and other things i can't remember right now, but we felt happy and were ready for the next year!!!!

Then we would all get dressed in our warm clothes and all three of us girls would go with dad in the old hearse made into a pickup, to cut three or four loads of wood. Back home mom was making the most delicious Christmas meal. After all that work!!! which made us girls very strong and hungry, even the donkey meat that mom made was good!!!!

Actually it was not donkey meat as we were vegetarians, it was actually left over oatmeal porridge, with cornflakes, onions and a few spices, formed into patties, fried and a tomato soup sauce was poured on top and baked. with a generous supply of butter on top it was very good to eat. the mashed potatoes and veggies with gravy were very good. For dessert mom made pumkin pie. yum.

OK! so i had a good nights sleep and inspiration came to me in the morning! Mom used to make lots of these boxes to put little things in. This one is especially cute. It is only about two inches across. And it reminded me of the little childrens song above.

we are going to have a pink christmas ladies banquet this year and this is the start of the decorations. it is very hard to find pink decortions this year. i wanted the guys to wear pink ties also. i may have to make some.

PINK NAILS

There are many different kinds of nails!! construction nails, pretty nails like the pink ones here!! fake nails for your fingernails, my son says in .bolivia nails are hard to find and are very expensive, he is right because i tried to find a couple of nails when i was down there and we only found three on the whole campus which were lying on a tucked away table, unused and red dirt lined and when i tried to pound them into the post it was near to impossible as the wood is very hard down there. the girl in this picture is making a business out of selling these nails and if anyone knows where i can get a couple i would love to know!!!

and then we have another kind of nail, although the look and material that they were made out of is the same as ordinary nails, these ones had a purpose and fulfilled a prophecy. Three rusty nails describes the picture.........

This is a story of long ago of a man who owned a little store.

carrot cake recipe

Yields 9" round cake (3 layers)

4 large eggs
1 ½ cups oil
2 cups dark brown sugar, packed
2 cups unbleached all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking soda
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
½ teaspoon ground mace
½ teaspoon ground cloves
1 teaspoon ground ginger
½ teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg
½ teaspoon salt
3 cups grated carrots
1 cup coarsely chopped walnuts
1 cup raisins (optional)

Chai Spice Cheesecake Filling

perfect Cream Cheese Filling Recipe:

◦¾ pound powdered sugar
◦1 pound cream cheese
◦1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
◦1 teaspoon Vanilla
◦3 sticks butter

Add to the basic recipe :

◦¼ cup Chai Tea concentrate
◦1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
◦1 teaspoon ground ginger

one of my favorite pictures from a bed and bathroom magazine, it is called sanctuary, sort of pinkish colors to the room and that is where i am heading now!!, i am dreaming of building a new house and love the high ceiling this room has and the window where a tub would go.

granddaughters helping each other put on their boots which seems to be too small for her, push girl pull it on!!!!

they love jumping on the bed and sleeping in it as well becase of the pedestals and roses on the spread, they are pink of course!!

GOOD MORNING, happy sabbath

this is the first week that i absolutely ran out of pink things to put in this blog!!!!!, so i am just saying have a wonderful day and may the coming week bring you happiness.....
this was given to me by a lady, who , when I first movd to my home town, was very active in the church, such an excellent organizer and friendly person, then something happened, and she became distant, involved in many court battles with her family to which the courts say is unfounded, and now after having seven kids who are grown up now, and a second attempt at putting their marriage back together, has filed for a divorce and maybe I was the one who could have been nicer to her.???

To end I will share a small recipe, my daughter and I went to this Mexican restaurant and the meal was so good......I made it at home afterwards....

RECIPE:
Corn tortilla layered with refried beans and cooked sweet potatoe and corn. One more layer with corn tortilla. you can bake this or put it in the microwave. Then top with chopped lettuce, a green salsa and a pink onion.

THAT'S what it was!!!!, A PINK ONION!! a white onion soaked in something that made it pink!!! I WAS SO EXCITED ABOUT IT But alas....no picture....

A great morning to all who are reading this, i am just remembering the many stops at the airport to south america and waiting in the early morning hours for the flight to begin. i noticed several pink things and felt only brave enough to take this picture of a lady sleeping on the benches. the bottom of her shoes said SPRING in pink!!!! Well! we are a long ways off from spring and i wish we could skip winter this year. There was also a lady carrying a bright pink shopping bag with bamboo shoots in it.

not a very good picture of me as i just finished a three day flight but MISS SANTA CRUZ was gracious enough to take a picture with me. What a beautiful girl!

Feliz Sabado, happy sabbath, and a pink one at that!!!

just returned from prince george with my daughter and her daughter. it is a five hour drive one way. my daughter had to have a ct scan as she was blacking out all the time and getting head aches. in a few days we will now the results.
in the meantime , as the scan only took three minutes, we did some shopping at value village and the craft stores, spent way too much money, but it sure was fun, this vw was the best thing we saw on the way. i just loved it....someone must have used it for a parade or something and then put it here under the welcome sign to the town. but there is a layer of dirt all over the car and then som moss of some sort and then some meshing to hold things in place and as you can see they planted flowers. good thinking.................eh!!

look what i found at value village..................pretty candlestick holders, a couple of scrapbooks and a cute tin candle holder..... the scredrive i bought at home hardware because it was.................PINK!!!

a lot of the time we wonder why trouble comes to us when we do our best to be good citizens, be friends with our neighbors and good to our kids, eat right etc....and then we cry to God, why is this happening. There may be things and reasons in our lives that need changing. if our self esteem is not where it could be, try remembering that God said I will, throughout the whole bible. if you come back to me, do my will, i will bring you back to me. it does not matter what we have done in the past, he says i will be with you

well to me that says everything, because he has forgiven my sins and is just waiting for me to give the word and he will be right there to help me sort my life out. it is better with God in my life. life will be sweeter with him in it.

HOME AGAIN

Good morning everybody out there..........................
well finally i am home and it is hard to believe. with mixed feelings i am glad to be home but i miss the christian atmosphere and my son and the campus where i visited in Bolivia. Even thru the heat i really enjoyed myself. with in the next few weeks i will try and post some pictures together.

when in Bolivia i purchased a pink tub and a brush to wash clothes in the creek as where i was there were no facilitiesl............................as an after thought this is not my leg but my son's, he is getting his big toe looked after by the nurse after gouging it with a shovel....ooooo very painful

HAPPY PINK SATURDAY EVERYBODY

HELLO HELLO! We are NOT having a very good morning or nite either. The little grandson did not sleep very well. He was crying every hour all night long. OK. so we did not sleep either....BUT here we are.............Rise and Shine on this pink saturday. Zucchini casserole again. Potluck for the girls as they look forward to that after church.

PICKING BROCCOLI and having fun pulling it off the bush, they both grabbed it and fell down......

the excitement coming to grandmas this time was finding potatoes in the ground and picking raspberries

and here is a rare sight now a days...........a logging truck
i am leaving for bolvia tomorrow...wish me a safe trip and see you in a month

ZUCCHINI CASSEROLE

HAPPY PINK SATURDAY EVERYONE AND GOOD MORNING.

It is early yet and so i am just doing my post now. This girl loves to take pictures, she loves to pose, and takes a very good picture also!!! but she also got a very good pink picture too of the petunia down below. Pink is her all time favorite color.

Zucchini casserole-----this was my favorite recipe as a kid at home.. Very simple to make----just slice your veggie and onions, sprinkle salt and add tomato soup with water and mozzerella on top. Bake.

I did see a few other pink things this week, but again the camera was stuck under the seat. Driving to Town one day i came up behind this older car, which i was thinking to myself..........hummm this is just like the car i used to have, must be a single person moving as it was packed full. Drove up closer and I could not believe my eyes!!!! had to look three times.....there it was!! you wouldn't believe it!!!! A PINK BIKE SEAT on an adult bike. and no camera. well i am telling you aabout it anyway....

AND how could i forget...a dinner we went to at a friends house....she served homemade fresh mushroom soup with morals in a flowered rose bowl, fresh garden salad on matching pink rose plate with fresh braided bread on a rose side plate. What a treat!

When all is said and done and our lives have reached a peak, it seems sometimes we go on a downward trend, and as Jesus did, He gave his life or breath to the Father again. I have tried to do that this week as some things have been happening in my life and i am about to take a long flight to Bolivia. I say that my life is in the Father's hands. this may not be an appropriate verse, but it hit the spot and the thought that Jesus must have been so glad it was over and what a lot He went thru.

Pinkless Clouds, but a pink bow............

Good morning everyone and Happy PInk SAturday to all ......as usual just when you think the color pink is getting scarce or you have shown it all already, there comes a few other things that are pink and ta da!!!!....you have a few pink things................but as you can see in these cloud pictures nothing is pink...........but keep looking!!!..you will find it.................................................... about 65 km from home i saw this huge cloud billowing out in front of me, it was fantastic.....and sort of by itself to be a thundercloud............... the closer i got to home it changed into an intersting shape...............but sorry...........no pink......not yet..........but if you look real close you can find it..........it was awesome.....there was a forestfire and this one could have began with that................

here is another interesting cloud that i took on the way home..........just a tiny one that seemed to be getting bigger..........now doesn't that remind you of something...............Jesus says that when He comes again to this earth that a small could will appear in the sky the size of a man's hand and as it comes toward earth it will get larger and larger. Angels will make up this cloud and in its center will be the King of Kings. The angels will rush down and we will be caught up together with Him in the cloud...................... What a day that will be, When with Jesus we will be.....now that song???????a cake that i made with pink flowers

lastly....!!!!!! bought a mini computer,, it was blue, but i saw these ear phones and they were pink, so i bought them............

pink things were scarce this week, but here is my flowers again from a previous post, the flowers had died and now new flowers are starting to grow!!!, I was so excited............. and then I realized that Fireweed flowers are everywhere. Although near the end of their season they still show a brilliant color.

this picture was taken thru my car window as invaribly that is how most of my pictures are taken--on the way to work--

my back yard is all lined with fireweed, and then below is a pinkish ribbon that my seven year old granddaughter grabbed and tied around the hibiscus tree.....pretty huh!

Good morning 'all. This is what i call sleeping in!!!............getting up at 7:30am. hahhaha. NOW I am up and I can write a few words to these pictures.
These are the Pink potholders that my mom had made. Actually she made a few dozen of them. I am beginning to realize what a patient person she was thru her married life with us kids and then thru her illness at her last days. She was not in good shape in the end, full of morphine and yet she could smile thru the whole thing and not a complaint was heard. Recipies----have you heard of Pink Lady Apples!!!!! here is a website with apple recipies. this one sounds interesting and for you who are raw foodists i am sure a raw version could be whipped up in the blender......lets see....what can we do.....

place some celery and apple in the juicer...................hummmm....smells good......add some soymilk and a dash of chicken like seasoning, a little salt and pepper. Blend it. add sliced celery apples and thyme for decoration. Oil???? maybe olive oil!!! and maybe lemon. tomato on the side.

Well!! it is late....at one in the morning......haha...it has been a busy day.....Friday off from work....i love these long weekends.....there is so much to do around the house....i cleaned, did my dishes, vaccumed, mowed the lawn, watered the garden, cooked the black beans, and went to Smithers, about 45 minutes away, with the truck, which is a standard and a pain to drive in town but I had some things to pick up, like peat moss and some pink astillbe, and a perennial pansy that is flecked with purple. Interesting!!!,

And so the day is closed and i was thinking about the title of this blog and took a picture of my most comfortable moment ----- climbing into bed......amongst all the pink things...like the new pjs i bought that are pink, the blanket that i am using for a blind is pulled back with a pink hair clip, and the light is one that i have had there ever since i moved to Hazelton, it has pink and white stripes...i made it.....and of course my pink curtains...everything is kind of mismatched and there are things all over the place!!!!!.....but it is so comfortable.....I lie there with the window open and listen to the night..........cool breeze blowing the leafy trees, hushed roar of the river close by......the neighbors night lights are dabbled between the leafy branches.....and somewhere out there the angels are playing in the tall treetops and waving the branches.....................i took a picture and then came back to the computer and took another one ......the shell you see here with the pink ribbon that someone had given me on a present.......

Chocolate and Cherry Smoothie
Ingredients:
One apple, cored and chopped
1/2 frozen banana10 pitted cherries
1/2 cup water1 heaped teaspoon carob powder

Preparation:
1 - Place all ingredients in blender and firmly press lid on.
2 - Blend.
3 - Pour into a waiting glass.
4 - Clean blender.

5 - Enjoy smoothie.

went for a drive in the mountains today, was fairly nice with clouds and rain and sunshine, lots of mosquitos, but the clouds were realy something this time--huge thunderheads, brilliant sunset and at the bottom looks like Alladans lamp or something!!!!

Josie had just thrown a rock and she said hurry grandma, take a picture and this is what i got. real cool---you can see the droplets cascade upwards, if only my camera were better......click on and see if you can see it better......

What a week we had!!!! and exhausting......my computer went on the blink again and so i am using a tiny one! for some reason it won't let me move the pictures around in order. oh well..... here are some pictures of a left over tea party from the girls, pretty flowers and my birthday flowers on the pink cover cloth.........

and things are just looking PINK around here. my daughters bought me pink flowers!!!!! and the granddaughters just love pink like me. i bought pink dresses for them to wear to church. The dental clinics-two of them- where i work bought me each a cake and flowers--hey! it pays to work part time at two places hahha.
AND
i just bought a ticket to go to Bolivia. i am scared spitless. have to fly by myself into the bush or jungle so i may be seeing a lot of pink in front of me for not knowing what i am doing or hearing a different language. my son is working down the in guayaramerin.
good nite all i shall post my pictures in the morning..

Well I hope you enjoyed my pink things today and enjoy the Amazing Grace of the Sabbath Day!! this is a 3 CD package I found at Wall mart --it has all the old hymn songs recorded that i like. I love the old hymns as we used to sing them together when my father played the piano.

Hello everone and good morning!

Again this week has been so busy, travelling back and forth from one town to the home base and late evenings--you know the excuses!!!! BUT I do have a pink thing to tell you about---i am reallly excited about getting a small tool kit that has pink flowers all over it, actually you can see it online, just type in ladies floral tool kit.

I am a day late with the pictures~~~here is my story~~~~i went to town on Friday to pick up my children and put a bid on a trailer, which i really hope we get, won't find out till tomorrow, and pick out some new Kenmore appliances from Sears~~~this was exciting, we just put a hold on them, then we went to a garage sale and bought some hammers, a ladder and a trampoline and as you see our car was pretty loaded with people, bunnies and things.

Well! to day is Sabbath, we went to church, took the bunnies so all the kids could see them, Josie dressed them all us in dresses!!! came home had lunch and later on went for a drive in the country. It was a full day and Josie was wiped out at the end of it. HERE IS WHAT WE SAW......
four flocks of geese, there were sandhill cranes circling above our heads at one point too..........

PINK CARS.......!!!! way in the middle of the bush......

by the river a lumber truck had capsized in the middle of winter and with the spring thaws here is what the melted snows revealed & left behind......lots of lumber there....we were wishing we had a truck....

Happy sabbath friends and family

hope you are all settling in nicely with family around. i have my two daughters with their children here for part of the weekend. With my house not kid proof it is quite a challenge but they love to play outside and with dishes, we have crafts lined up and walks. The there is meals which lthey love to help in. Today will be potluck and they love those, lots of other kids around!!!!

I love this song on the sidebar, music is such a large part of our lives, when related to what Christ has done for us we can put our lives to song, praise Him for life's daily experiences and changes. Jesus is the onlly one worth living for.

this is Pink Saturday also, i don 't have much pink today but there are a couple of things here that i like. So have a WONDERFUL PINK DAY EVERYONE!!

DO YOU SEE THAT!!!!!!!! LADIES AND GENTLEMEN..................i went to vancouver last week for a dental conference, our hotel looked out at the river and this island juttig out in the foreground is Stanley Park. But look what i saw. i was so excited. it is a PINK BARGE. even with a pink propeller. My eyes were so shocked at seeing a pink barge and by the time i got my camera it was almost gone, so here is the tail end of it.
